Greetings Friends!

Enjoy the Taurus Astrology Newsletter for 2010!

Spring time means a lot of opportunities to make new beginnings for all signs. Unfortunately Mercury went retrograde on April 17/18 at 12 degrees of Taurus until  May 11 when it goes direct at 2 degrees of Taurus. For those who have been following the SI Newsletters for any length of time know that Mercury retrograde is not a good time to start anything new--don't buy or sell real estate, quit or take a new job--and never leave home during this period without factoring in time to accommodate delays, chaos or  nerve-racking, hair-raising skewered communication. There is an upside to this phenomenon: review what you have and make corrections, additions or subtractions to make any proposition tighter, righter or more saleable.

There will be a Full Moon on April 28 at 08 degrees of Scorpio. Known to be intense and passionate at the same time, this will be full bloom time for you Scorpions--take extra care that your stinger is not armed and dangerous to get you to do or say something that will boomerang back to harm you. Water signs and earth sings will benefit more positively.

Saturn is still retrograding back into Virgo until the end of May. Retrograde Saturn means that the heavy demands of straighten up and fly right are not as severe. Saturn will conjunct Sun sign for those of you born between September 20-22--just a check-up to see if you changed the things you could when Saturn was direct in motion on top of your Sun late last year.

There will be a New Moon on May 13 at 23 degrees of Taurus--new beginnings for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorns as well as Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. It is the nature of the Bull to be stubborn and unyielding but Taurus is also steadfast and loyal. My hit on this New Moon is that finances will continue to strengthen for Taurus and the other signs mentioned above.

FIRE SIGNS

ARIES (March 21 – April 20) While your ruler is in Leo--fixed fire--until June 7--get a second opinion on your latest widget or gadget and then try it out with those in the know. If you get a green light, go for it like there is no tomorrow. Like all of us, caution from the Mercury in retrograde applies to Aries as well. But there is not harm in planning where you are going to go next. No one is faster than an Aries and few of us have a mind and a mouth that come together like you do. The lunations are just letting you know that your gestation period is going to last a little longer. But do yourself a favor and start believing in yourself again.

LEO (July 22 – August 22)  If your dreams have been turning to nightmares lately and your creative ideas have been falling short, take a breather and enjoy the best things in life--free to be free of the bondage of self and others. If the market rewards you, praise God from whom all blessings flow. But if someone turns into a sourpuss, perhaps it's not something you've done. Some people are just cantankerous and ornery. This solar cycle is not your best so pull over to the side of the road and take an inventory of where you are and where you'd rather be and then recommit that your life is none of your business--it's God's.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20) Your ruler Jupiter will be in Pisces for the rest of the year which is in a position to let you look through the looking glass without following Alice down the hole. Your life is going to give you the opportunity to see the world if you have the capacity to let go and let God within you take you there. You must look at all entangling alliances and cut ties; you have to realize that you are on a commission to do things that only you can do. Take a good look at what is not working and let go of it before it becomes a noose. This is your time to discover and recover from a hopeless state of mind and body.

EARTH SIGNS

TAURUS (April 21 – May 20) Plan to lie low under the Full Moon in Scorpio as the opposing sign may bring too many challenges and cause you to feel threatened by phantoms in the theatres of the mind. You are rock solid during most of this year so stick to what you know and you'll continue to get what you've always gotten. Try to soften to forecasts that come from within you. It is more important to be the captain of your own canoe than to let others try to get you to shore. In other words, turn up the volume of the still small voice of intuition.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22) If you have been looking at your profit-and-loss ledger this month, you should be discovering some good news because this is one of the best times of 2010 for you so far. I have been watching Virgos with wide eyes and an open heart and I am seeing some remarkable changes--most of all--you virgins are less critical and analytical than you used to be. In recovery parlance you are accepting life on life's terms faster, soften and easier than ever before. Good for you. Just remember where all blessings emanate: from the God within you in direct correlation to the action you take to get there.

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19) While everyone else is wondering if the other financial shoe is about to drop you are already making plans to build the better mousetrap. The one characteristic that is part of your DNA is self-motivation and self-reliance. Take the Pluto Effect in your sign for umpteen more years and the Sun in Taurus this Solar Cycle coupled with Jupiter in Pisces and you have the formula for born to win. Listen to you and ever so often see how others are doing. You compassion comes across as cold but what you really are in a realist. Share what you find when you are ready.

AIR SIGNS

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) Every dog has its day, so if you have a canine listen to the animal to see what he or she is trying to teach you. This is a time for you to review what is going on and lay the best foundation to succeed with what you uncover. If you were at the poker table, the transits are saying, "Hold 'em," and don't try to make more out of your hand than is there. You can make your moves in a month. Do practice patience and tolerance of others. Mercury retrograde is always a bit harsher for you because that is your ruling planet.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22) On April 25 your ruler Venus goes into Gemini which will cooperate to let you make some positive moves like making amends for taking so long to right wrongs and picking up pace. Other transits are not as favorable to you and Saturn will storm back in Libra June 1 so be prepared to have life hand you exactly what it is time for you to face. Some of us think that this ain't the real reality anyway --that it is more like Reform School--so continue to be open to what comes. And remember you cannot change anyone but you, and that includes your spouse and erstwhile friends. Tend to your business and let the rest of the world go by.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17) The escapism tendency of Neptune has been in Aquarius for a long, long time and it will not leave the Sign of the Water Bearer until sometime in early 2011. And with lunations squaring you this Solar Cycle you might want to keep your head down and not make any waves. This is a time when others seem to be a bit too harsh or inconsiderate and when you might even start to think that the deck is stacked against you--not true. There are times for all things and now is the time for you to do what is in front of you and let the rest of the world watch the closing of the door for Oprah or listen to Lady Gaga.

WATER SIGNS

CANCER (June 21 – July 21) Some of us, me included, give Cancer a hard time about wanting to control everything and anybody. Now I am hedging my bet because the transits are all moving in your favor. It is time to know that Mother knows better than Father and that whatever you decide, the tribe must follow. Other than the cautions of Mercury retrograde, you can call a committee to order and lay down the law. No one is more capable of kind and caring and concern for all. Be true to you and let your crowd know what's what.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21) If you read the opening of the Signs of the Time column, you know that Scorpio has a Full Moon April 28 at 08 degrees of Scorpio. The New Moon on May 11 at 23 degrees of
Taurus will oppose you. This is a month to tie-up loose ends and to get ready for the biggest changes of your life. Whatever is not working will leave your life; whoever is causing trouble will get the message and skedaddle. This is not a Solar Cycle to be alarmed or upset--welcome that the Universe is doing for you what you could not and would not do for yourself. In three months you will be singing the Hallelujah Chorus.

PISCES (February 18 – March 20) Although you can sometimes wake up in a panic or see a boogie man when it is really just  the wind blowing the limbs of a tree, you are coming into a power period for the Fish. If you sometimes seem a bit out there with your ideas, now the rest of the world will call you a visionary. When your instincts tell you to follow a thought impression that seems even weird, the world will think you have insights they wish they did. I am not suggesting that you take your bank wad to Las Vegas and test your luck at the tables, but I am suggesting that your time has come. Book the banquet hall and strut your stuff!
